The reason behind World's tallest waterslide demolition

It used to be a beautiful joyful ride where families go for leisure and fun.
Unfortunately that changed for the 168 foot world's tallest water slide when 10 year old Caleb Thomas Schwab died in a freak and two other riders were seriously injured accident earlier this year.

Witnessses recalled how they saw his body slung from the Verruckt slide and decapitated. They were horrified at what they saw. Following the fatal incident, some park guests have claimed that the slide's harness was not working properly earlier in the day.

Schlitterbahn Waterparks and Resorts said in a statement on Tuesday that the Verruckt will be permanently removed after a probe into the theme park tragedy is completed.
"In our opinion, it is the only proper course of action following this tragedy. All of us at Schlitterbahn have been heartbroken over the tragedy that occurred on Verruckt," they said.

Lawyers for Caleb and the women are independently investigating claims the slide had not been inspected by the state since opening two years ago.
