A second nominee rejects President Buhari's Ambassadorial appointment

Another ambassadorial nominee Mr. Usman Bugaje has turned down his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Bugaje is the second nominee to turn down the appointment, after Pauline Tallen, former deputy governor of Plateau state did same.

 Tallen announced her decision to decline the appointment in public, Bugaje prevailed on by top government officials not to announce his rejection of the offer in the media.

Regarding Tallen’s decision to reject the appointment, Lalong said: “Well, it is not only about her husband; I think is the dimension of plateau politics because I had already made complaints to Mr President that appointments should not be concentrated in one zone.

Former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Pauline Tallen, has rejected her ambassadorial nomination by President Buhari.She said in a statement released  :

“I appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for counting me worthy to serve Nigeria in the capacity of an ambassador. However, I have to let it go to attend to my ailing husband. It is a hard decision to take, but I have to, because my husband is my primary responsibility as a woman.”
