400 students surprise 'Cancer striken' teacher

Ben Ellis , a Nashville high school teacher in Nashville was brought to tears by some students. Ben has been battling cancer at home in Nashville.

The students decided to lift his spirit by going to his home in their hundreds, gathered together to sing  support and wish him well. They sang 'Holy Spirit you are Welcome Here'. The video became a massive hit with 14million views. He stood by his window with emotions watching his students.

Country music legend Tim Mcgraw who shared the story added: "Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family... So precious and kind."

The video was recorded on Wednesday September 7, and the lyrics have a poignancy in Mr Ellis' condition: "Holy Spirit You are welcome here, come flood this place and fill the atmosphere, your glory God is what our hearts long for, to be overcome by Your presence Lord."

A woman who says she's a parent from the school posted on Facebook that the event came together about "three separate and unrelated people" told her they had been shown visions of the students singing praises on Mr Ellis lawn.

"So we loaded the buses and cars and went," MailOnline report s Shannon Lee Seibert as writing.

She described Mr Ellis as "the definition of a teacher, a role model, a servant," adding: "He wrote the kids a letter telling them he is even more certain now that God is Good and with us."

I pray cancer gets cancer and die
