38 Boko Haram fighters killed

 38 Boko Haram fighters have been killed by Chad and Niger soldiers .

Nation gathered that the successful operations  followed attacks by the terror group on two border towns in southeastern Niger earlier this week, Niger’s army said on Saturday.

Reuters reported that two soldiers from the bilateral force were lightly wounded in the operation, launched after clashes in the village of Toumour, near Lake Chad and the Nigerian border, on Monday.

Army statement in part read that the Nigerian and Chadian forces seized large quantities of weapons and ammunitions from the slain fighters. Soldiers are still on the lookout for terrorists in the area.
