Former UN Secretary General rejects Trump


Former Secretary General of the United Nations  Mr Kofi Annan has expressed his worries and reservations about Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump.


He stated this according to Today at a conference held in Salzburg, Austria. He was at the Nestle Salzburg Festival on Saturday. He out-rightly expressed serious worry over Trump's adventures as he put it. And noted that he was very sorry for the US. Speaking futher ' He said 'I feel like 'Let's cry for America. How can a country with so many talents end up like him as a candidate.

Also part of the discussion moderated by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Nestle S. A., Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, were a former Mexican President, Ernesto Zedillo; Professor of Economic Policy, University of Mainz and Insead Singapore, Beatrice di Mauro; and another international scholar, Patrick Aebischer.

 Although all the speakers noted that the US had made progress in terms of economy, they lamented the political uncertainties that pervaded some countries that included Turkey.

Annan said although the country’s President, Recep Erdogan, started well, the way he had handled the recent coup had created problems.

He said, “Thousands of people who have been arrested cannot be a product of thorough investigation. Annan stressed about his worry over the new development in Turkey.
