Dubai ruler pays a surprise visit to government offices and finds nobody


The ruler of Dubai Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid paid a surprise visit to the government offices and surprised himself.   

Unfortunately for the Dubai workers that would have been an opportunity to showcase their abilities in the presence of their ruler but they were no where to be found dailymail gathered.

They were all absent from the office and it was a very awkward moment for the Dubai civil service.He visited different government departments on Sunday which is a normal working day in Dubai. His media office tweeted saying:
'Mohammed Bin Rashid on a field inspection tour in Dubai this morning." 

This embarrassing moment in Dubai civil service has resulted in the compulsory retirement of nine high powered officials. They are : Abdul Qader Al Jasmi, director of legal affairs, deputy director general Eisa Al Maidoor and Mohammad Abdul Karim Julfar, assistant Director General for corporate support.

 According to Gulf News, the Sheik thanked the new retirees for their efforts, and that the decision "reflects Sheikh Mohammad’s keenness to allow a new generation of young leaders to shoulder the responsibility of development in the next period".

But Mona Al Merri, director-general of Dubai media office, told Bloomberg:“He certainly wanted to send a message.
“Timeliness starts at the top and we won’t go after employees when their bosses aren’t there.’’
