Bravo! Nigerians make their mark in RIO with outstanding records

Segun Toriola, Aruna Quadri and Chierika Ukogu are the three Nigerians presently in Rio that have created records that will be cherished in a longtime and forever.

Punch gathered that 41year old Toriola, a table tennis star is making his 7th olympic appearance and this has made him equal the table tennis record. With this feat, he cabecame the most capped Olympian.

Aruna Quadri who set a continental record after the 2014 ITTF star became the first African to reach quater-finals of men's singles event in Rio 2016.

Lastly Ukogu Chierika, on the other hand at 23 and her first Olympic qualified for the top classification in the rowing event is the first Nigerian woman to row and go as far as lacing 5th. She will be participating in the semi finals C/D 1 event on Wednesday.
