50 Republican High Profile Security Officials reject Donald Trump

A signed letter from 50 republican security and foreign policy officials has been issued. They stated that the US presidential nominee representing the Republicans would be the most reckless in American history.

According to US Guardian the letter said Donald Trump was not qualified to be commander in Chief. They questioned his fitness for office, character, temperament, his alarming ignorance of basic international affairs , his competence at understanding US national interests amongst others.

A March letter published at the online national security salon War on The Rocks sounded warnings on Trump’s character, policies and fitness for office. The following Republicans signed the letter. They are: George W Bush’s homeland security secretary Michael Chertoff; ex-Pentagon under secretary for policy and ambassador to Turkey Eric Edelman; Condoleezza Rice aide Philip Zelikow; John McCain advisers Richard Fontaine and Kori Schake; and former US ambassador to Iraq Robert Blackwill.

It is indeed a bad image for Trump, if the high intelligence officials disapprove of his candidacy. Also more concerns have been raised concerning his friendship with Vlaimir Puttin the Russian President.

This new letter says Trump lacks temperament to be President and also fears and questions are raised on his command of the US nuclear weapons if elected President.

Meanwhile , Trump has responded in his usual style calling the letter politically motivated.

As they are all from a failed government. He proposed a foreign policy to oust dictators and reconstruct the military in the hope of rebuilding peace over war.
He said '
“Together, we will break up the rigged system in Washington, make America safe again, and we will Make America Great Again,”
