Gowon to Buhari: Salvage the economy

General Yakubu Gowon the former head of state of Nigeria has urged President Buhari to focus and revive on Nigeria's economy.
He said this at the Ile Ife Health Caravan award ceremony organized in honour of Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi who was conferred as the Royal Ambassador for Hepatitis Advocacy of Nigeria.

In his response to questions asked he suggested that the solutions to Nigeria's economic challenge was to find a way out of the current economic crisis.

The minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun has said the economy will be stable by September so he urged everybody to wait and see. He stressed further that he has left government for long so may not really know what the problem is . He further urged the government not to allow anyone found guilty of padding the budget go scot free.

The elder statesman wondered why the issue of budget padding became the order of the day because there were no such situations in his time in government.

He pointed out that Obafemi Awolowo who was in charge then, urged them to learn how not to borrow and he was in charge of Finance. The Ooni of Ife was overjoyed and expressed his delight on the award and called Nigerians in charge of finance the habit of celebrating good leaders.

The Executive Secretary of Seham, Princess Adepeju Hameed explained  that since the formation of the foundation the rate of Hepatisis has reduced in Nigeria.
