Sherri Shepherd denied appeal to stop child support payments

Sherri Shepherd's attempt to stop child support payments has failed.

The former “View” co-host’s appeal to avoid paying child support to ex-husband Lamar Sally was denied, reports TMZ.

As it stands, Shepherd, 48, pays $4,100 a month and will do so until the child turns 13 then the payments increase to $4,600.

The court’s decision to keep the current arrangement came as no surprise since Shepherd agreed and paid to have the baby via surrogate.

Shepherd and Sally’s bitter drama played out in court and in the headlines. Back in September 2014, Sally suggested that his ex-wife “turned her back” on their then unborn child pagesix reports

“I never thought in a million years she would turn her back on L.J.(Lamar Jr.),” Sally, 48, told People. “I think it’s the worst thing in the world for L.J. to look at his birth certificate at 16 and see it says ‘Mother unknown.’”
