Prince Harry Reveals The Truth About Losing His Late Mom As The 20TH Anniversary of Her Death Approaches

It's been more than 18 years since the tragic passing of Princess Diana, and her youngest son, Prince Harry is revealing the truth about life after losing his mother.

“I knew there would always be a gaping hole that could never be filled,” the 31-year-old prince said during the opening of the Mamohato Children’s Centre in Lesotho, Africa, according to Us Weekly.

The younger royal is currently on a trip to Africa, where he helped to open the orphanage through his charity, Sentebale, and even named the building's dining hall after his late mother.

The children at the center were far younger than me, and of course, their situation was a great deal more challenging than my own,” Harry said. “Nonetheless, we shared a similar feeling of loss, having a loved one — in my case a parent — snatched away so suddenly.”

According to L&S the new center for children will specifically support young kids whose parents have lost the fight with AIDS, a charity Harry has continued to champion on behalf of his mother, who closely volunteered, raised awareness, and helped reduce the stigma of HIV and AIDS in the 1990s.

Harry, who lost his mother when he was just 12 years old, and older brother Prince William have continued to draw on their mother's influence as the 20th anniversary of her death approaches.

Now, the younger royal is eager to keep the memory of his mother alive.
